The committee continued its study of privacy and social media with testimony from researchers and policy specialists.

Warren Everson from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce spoke about the thriving online market for innovation and entrepreneurship, and testified that existing Canadian laws adequately protect users.

Brendan Wycks and Annie Pettit spoke about market research data collection methods and elaborated on how information gathered from social media sites is used by researchers.
